Brandy Macaluso's Bio

Brandy Macaluso, MSW, is the Chief Programming Officer at the Coalition for Independent Living Options, serving Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Okeechobee, and Indian River counties. She oversees programming and provides direct services to crime victims with disabilities—especially those impacted by violent crime or exploitation.

Brandy earned her MSW from Florida Atlantic University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and holds undergraduate degrees in Social Work and Health Care Administration. She is credentialed at the Advanced Level by the National Organization for Victim Assistance, with over 15,600 hours of experience in victim services.

A recognized expert in forensic social work, Brandy has trained service providers on disability-related victim needs under the ADA, Rehab Act, and Fair Housing Act. She has served in leadership roles with the Human Trafficking Coalition of the Palm Beaches, Palm Beach Victims’ Rights Coalition, and the Palm Beach County Corrections Task Force. She also teaches as an adjunct professor and trainer for the Florida Office of the Attorney General.

Her work has earned numerous honors, including the FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award, Florida’s Outstanding Victim Service Provider, and Social Worker of the Year by NASW Florida. She has authored and contributed to multiple publications on crime victim advocacy and disability rights, and serves on several national advisory boards focused on violence and disability.
