LEAP Program

LEAP (Learning and Educational Advocacy Program)

CILO is pleased to introduce our new LEAP Program. LEAP is designed to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are seeking educational advocacy, transition services, independent living skills, and information and referral assistance. To learn more or begin the process, please email leap@cilo.org. You will receive an automated response with a brief screening questionnaire to complete. Once your screening application is submitted, a CILO staff member will contact you within 2–3 business days.

Our advocates meet with you and your child to determine what they need to get the most out of school and to prepare them to eventually live independently. If needed, we will then meet with teachers, school officials, and committees to explain federal law requiring the accommodations that would benefit your child.
