Accessible Lifesaving Education for at Risk Teens


After School & Summer Program for Adolescents with Disabilities

Accessible Lifesaving Education for at-Risk Teens (ALERT) is an after-school and summer program for middle and high school students with disabilities. Students learn independent living skills, cooking, travel training, conflict resolution, HIV/STD and pregnancy prevention, job readiness, social, leisure and recreational skills. The program empowers teens by teaching self-advocacy skills and by providing an opportunity to make positive life choices.

ALERT empowers families by offering information, referrals, advocacy and support groups.

This service is only available to students with disabilities age 14-26 that live in Palm Beach County.

 

"CILO is not affiliated with or endorsed by the School Board of Palm Beach County or Royal Palm Beach Community High School and the events/activities hosted by CILO on Royal Palm Beach Community High School's premises pursuant  to a cooperative agreement shall not be construed as being conducted, funded, hosted, or sponsored by the School Board or Royal Palm Beach Community High School on behalf of CILO. The School Board and Royal Palm Beach Community High School undertake no responsibility for supervising or monitoring CILO's programs/events/activities and will not be liable for any and all actions of CILO on Royal Palm Beach Community High School's premises."

 

 

 


Our program hours follow the school calendar, M-F, 3 PM-6 PM and noon-6 PM on school half days.

Summer program operates M-TH, 8 AM –5 PM. Fees for trips, snacks & supplies.
