Independent Living Skills
CILO teaches the skills you need to live independently, such as cooking, money management, job readiness, socialization, and travel training. CILO will customize skills training to meet your individual needs and will teach skills one on one or in group settings at our office, in your home, or in the community.
CILO offers free budgeting classes taught by Consumer Credit Management Services (CCMS) for those trying to meet their expenses on a fixed/ limited income. The class meets every Monday at CILO from 3:00pm- 4:00pm. Everyone is welcome and there is no need to RSVP unless you have a disability-related accommodation. Please direct disability-related accommodations to Maite Reyes-Coles, Coordinator of Independent Living Services at 561-966-4288 ext. 103 at least 2 weeks before the date you plan to attend.
The Palm Tran Service Board meeting is the 3rd Thursday of each month from 1:30 to 3PM . The subject matter is the fixed route bus system not paratransit along with other transportation options. The next meeting is April 21st, 2011 at the Clayton Hutchinson Agricultural Center. The address is 559 North Military Trail in West Palm Beach. The public is welcome to attend. They can speak at the end of the meeting if they would like to do so.
